Charles and Caroline Park moved to New York in June 2004 to start The River. Charles studied (a little too much when he was young), earning a PhD in Economics at M.I.T. After striving hard to achieve the American Dream, he found getting tangled up with the story of God made life much more interesting and unpredictable. Of all the great heroes of Western Literature, he most identifies with Forrest Gump. "Life is like a box of chocolates."

He and Caroline live in Manhattan with their three children, Clara, Ariel and Caleb.

Caroline's leadership at The River includes prayer ministry and leadership development.  She studied math and business at Pohang University and Columbia Business School.  She was reluctant to marry a pastor, much less become one!  Yet she has found that pursuing God has brought more life in exciting ways.

Kevin Oro-Hahn

Kevin studied mathematics at Drew University and then spent a decade in campus ministry in New York City.  He led a team to bring the Veritas Forum to New York, which annually engages thousands with provocative dialogue around life's most significant questions.  He has found his spiritual life expand while planting a church in the city.

He lives in Manhattan with his wife, Tania, and their two children, Zoe and Max.
