Our Mission
...to create space where New Yorkers of all backgrounds can connect with God through Jesus Christ and move towards him as the center of their lives. We believe this is how we can experience Jesus' promise of "life in all its fullness."
In John 10:10 Jesus described his own mission this way: "My purpose is to give people a rich and satisfying life." He made it clear that we can know God in a real and powerful way, and that this relationship with God is the source of "more and better life than you have ever dreamed of."
We are a diverse, vibrant church set up specifically to help people in New York City connect with the Living God.
The idea that God is alive and active today -- and wants to interact with us in a personal way through his Holy Spirit -- influences how we conduct our Sunday services, worship, classes and small groups. In addition, it greatly affects our regular day-to-day existence. We can "chat" with God and expect him to chat back! We can ask God to move in supernatural ways in our lives and it can actually happen!
"Life in all its fullness" also comes through relationships and authentic community. Everything in our church -- from small groups , social events, RiverKids and our compassion ministry to the poor -- all create an atmosphere where people can connect with God and with each other.
We are a diverse, vibrant church set up specifically to help people in NYC connect with the Living God. We would rather be here than anywhere else. The English journalist G.K. Chesterton once wrote: "church is the only organization that exists for the benefit of it's Non-members." We agree! We have a passion for our city and a deep desire to make God's amazing presence and love felt by all.
